Hi again,

after some fumbling with /etc/network/interfaces I am at a point where I have
no clue what I am doing wrong :-( and like to ask for some help again,
allthough I believe it`s something really simple.

Up to now I managed to configure the router to run in client mode and when I
only restart eth1 it connects to the WLAN and everything is working fine.
However when I try to setup the bridge I can`t no longer connect to the router.

Here`s my configuration:

auto eth0.0
iface eth0.0 inet manual
    switch-ports 1 2 3 4 5*

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet dhcp
    wireless-type broadcom
    wireless-country DE
    wireless-mode sta
    wireless-ssid Z15
    wireless-channel 11
    wireless-security wpa-psk
    wireless-authorization psk2
    wireless-encryption aes
    wireless-wpa-key Zweibrueckenstrasse15
    wireless-bridge-if br0

auto br0
iface br0 inet manual
    bridge-ifaces eth0.0 eth1
    address 192.168.1.1
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    broadcast +

I have bridge-utils installed and ip_forward is enabled. I tried ifup -a, as
well as /etc/init.d/S40network restart and also fwcf commit + reboot.

Am I on the right track with the above configuration (I have to admit that I am
no expert when it comes to bridging)?

Thanks in Advance and Best Regards
Michael
