Hi Michael, there are two things that comes in my mind when I see your setup: 1) "iface eth1 inet dhcp" is wrong, when you want to add your wireless device to the bridge. You need to set it to "iface eth1 inet manual". The bridge interface instead has to be set to "dhcp" instead. It's the bridging interface that needs to get the ip via dhcp, not the bridged wlan interface. The bridged interface doesn't need an ip at all. 2) Bridging a wifi interface in client mode (sta) is afaik not possible at all. I have tried it some weeks ago and also failed. Only wlan interfaces in ap-mode (and maybe wds-mode) can be bridged. But to be honest, I don't know why bridging a wlan client is not possible. In my tests it even worked some times but I couldn't find out why at least half the time it didn't worked. At least it's documented in the freewrt handbook that bridging a wlan client it not possible. Maybe someone else knows the reason for this. --Ralph _______________________________________________ freewrt-users mailing list [email protected] https://www.freewrt.org/lists/listinfo/freewrt-users
