It might help in keeping the message short and simple (always a key to success) to
rely on the webpage for much of what I suggested earlier. Have the main thrust after
our name and what our mission is, be "visit the webpage." Perhaps we could have a
list for people without access and tell them we will try and find them a
"buyorganic.org web buddy."

I know that we haven't had any real success yet in getting members (myself included)
to phone people off of the old Coop list. I keep meaning to investigate where the
list is and start phoning people. I've been wondering if it would help if tried to
develop a formal telephone tree. Each member would be responsible for calling one
specific person without access and that person in turn would be responsible for
phoning one other person without access, etc.

On the other hand, I know that we are in the developmental stages of creating our
buying network and that things could change in the future, but right now it seems to
me that our set up works very well for people who can access the site, but I'm not so
sure how well it would work for others. I don't like the idea of being exclusionary,
but it might be practical as at least a temporary measure. We need to be convenient.
It might be easiest to build up a strong buying group by first focusing on adding
people with access.

Everyone does always have the option of Jeb setting them up with an e-mail account
through buyorganic.org and accessing the site at the library.

We do always need to consider that too much success, too fast sinks many businesses
because they aren't equipped to deal with it. If we add too many members all at once
before we have the bugs worked out, it could be rather chaotic. How do we picture
dividing up the orders smoothly for instance if we add a great number of people?

Just thinking and pondering. Something might be useful or perhaps nothing. I just
realized Jeb that I also have at home three pieces of foam board that are 16 1/2" by
48".
