what about the support for 0.4, after release?
atm repoman has no support for uploading to a tree other than -current,
also makepkg -R does not handle to rebuild a package for -stable. and of
course installing a whole -stable system just for building packages is a
nonsense :)

em, what if -stable users build pkgs? is there a possibility to make a way
well kinda "small" updates can be made from users but at last ihmo major updates like gnome , kde , and security releated update _should_ be made from the _fw devel team_ and called "official"
Just my opinion.

for handling in a central download place, at least as "unofficial"?

yes of course. in the past, laci maintained a "post-0.2" tree

also in case only one people should be able to push to -stable, it's
handled currently, too
