I really think that the only way we'll get to what we truly want is with a custom system. Localization can all be handled the way *we* want, and everything can be written to work in a way that (hopefully) suits everyone.

Hi all,

I've started writing a new init system, even though we made no decision really. Just for me to see what would be involved in writing a new init system. For me to know what actually to do with it, I've created this page: http://wiki.frugalware.org/FwInit

You can put all your ideas/feature requests/wishes for an init system there.

Thanks!
Alex

Well. I've established the fact that I am not good at C and it will take too long to write a working init system. So I've decided to go with runit =)

Now /me goto /usr/lib/libbed.so.1.2 before I drop into sleep on the keyboard.

Thx!
