Yep, the initramfs I made for phoenix is based on archlinux's one, I used klibc,
I'm not sure if your question actually about the image itself, anyway I used 
udev in
the image too to load all the required modules (when the image is created, 
needed
modules are included, Udev will take care of loading them and then klibc will
take it from there to load "/" and boot the system.

Tomorrow I will starting working on initramfs for FrugalWare, I will mail you
guys about the progress and with the darcs repo...
