actually, this was an idea i meant to send Jamie as a feature for the
future.

from my understanding of the internals of furthur, there shouldn't be a
"max up-slots" variable at all. it should key off the max upload speed
(both user specified and actual). if there is bandwidth to burn (b/c you
have slow connections downloading) and your machine can handle more, then
allow more people. additionally, if you get too many people, cut 'em out.

the one thing that i'd like to do, is remind people that this is a beta.
i know most people are aware of this of course, and i have no official
status here or anything, so i hope i'm not offending anyone. they way i
look at furthur right now is that we're helping debug this program, and as
a bonus, we get music along the way. the point of furthur right now is
not that we all get the music we're looking for, its to finish furthur and
to find bugs in it, etc, so that we can all easily get the music we're
looking for in the future.

basically, i'm sure everyone is fine with people looking for shows, and
asking people to reshare things. but in the future, this will all be
taken care of when we have more people on the network. so just remember
to be a little patient. send in bug reports of course, and ask for
features for the future. but be aware that things are still being ironed
out, and some things will go wrong in the time being. have patience and
it'll all work out.

(and i know how frustrating things can be. for whatever reason, i'm one
of those people that has furthur lock up and stop working after a few
hours. i'm sure jamie is looking into it, and it'll be fixed soon.
there's no need to set up timers to have your computer reboot every 12
hours, because in a few days/weeks, furthur won't need that kind of thing.
so just be patient).

have a good day everyone! and enjoy the music. i know i am.
