I don't know if I'd go as far as saying it isn't an offshoot of etree as
well.  I'd say about half of the developers I've talked to are etree people.

Like Stacy said, once its hooked up to db.etree.org, problems like
brothercrow mentioned should go away for the most part. Also, since Furthur
is so user friendly and basically anyone can share anything with a few mouse
clicks, us SHN lovers might have to just go to db.etree.org as soon as we
get the md5s of a fileset (luckily they come through first) and see if it's
listed, or if it's a SHN>WAV>CDR>WAV>SHN copy, etc etc.

But like I said, hooking up to db.etree.org should help things quite a bit.
