I first heard of black-box around 2 years ago. I read an article in CFDJ
about it and was not very impressed. The author was young, and as stated
before, very disgruntled, which was a turn off for me. I wasnt really
thrilled with the organization, seemed to take the SIMPLE out of it. I also
am not convinced it is all that practical/possible to make TRULEY reuseable
objects in CF. I know somethings are, but as a whole Ive have yet to see it
succesfully done.
The author gives an example of using a common password/login form and
storing that under its own class directory. I keep thinking whats the big
deal, I now have to do a cfmodule call that makes CF parse through a
hierarchy of directories just to get to a simple login form? which I then
still have to put html around to make it look pretty? seemed like to much
work for me.
Also seemed like it would be more difficult to debug, and pass onto other
programmers.
If I am way off on this let me know, I'm not an expert in black-box so its
possible, but those were my first initial reactions.

Whatever turns you on, I guess... I checked out the site and didn't see
anything of any great significance jump out at me. Personally, fusebox is
the way to go for a few reasons:
1. widely supported by the CF community
2. well thought out and arranged in a way that is easy to understand
3. very flexible to be used as we see fit (use as much or as little as you
want)
4. And last but not least, hopefully I'm getting a free <cf_beer> mug from
Steve :-)
