Harry, good point about the quotes I
sent. However, I sent two posts earlier that had quotes
from the present. And I watch what he says on
TV. The problem is that the guy's brain runs behind his
mouth and he speaks half formed words. Technically it is a form
of stuttering. As for mixing up singular and
plural? Who knows? Is he lazy or
has he found that it helps those who talk like that identify with
him? When I was in college, at certain times we would effect
deliberate grammatical mistakes as a way of being together. Clever,
sneaky, manipulative? You bet.
In the eighties we had the great Negotiator and now
we have the great Facilitator. Someone out there has no
imagination whatsoever. Why would they even want to have
better schools under such circumstances? They are passing the
cost of charities over to religious organizations so that the government will no
longer have those programs. Of course that will give power to
the particular religion that is seen as the "helper" rather than the
secular whole society.
Remember David Stockman's
book and Reagan's advancing his social agenda by spending down the
government until there were no funds for what he didn't like.
I don't like these people. They have very little to offer
beyond their own limited desires and imagination. They
have little to think beyond the prejudices of their class and families.
