There are many i386 boards that have multiple PCI busses. I've looked at
Intel ones and some of them have 3, one 32/33 and two 64/133 which
theoretically gives you a lot of bandwidth when used with 64/133 gigabit
cards. Most serverworks boards will have multiple busses. I don't think
Sun hardware is any better than i386 in this case.

I've heard that 64/66 has about 4 gigabit bandwidth which would fit your
purposes (6 gigabit full-duplex) assuming two busses.

I'd like to hear more if anyone knows as far as the PCI throughput.
