Hello,
In the /bin directory you also have a backup_start file, this is a script
that seems to allow what you are looking for, at least down in the script I
find :
function usagemessage {
echo "Usage: backup system <name> [tftp <ip>]" 2>&1
echo " backup cp <name> [tftp <ip>] [save_log_dir]" 2>&1
echo " backup all <name> [tftp <ip>] [save_log_dir]" 2>&1
exit 0
}
Which seems to imply that it will still accept those arguments.
Met vriendelijke groeten - Bien vous - Kind regards

Subject: [FW-1] backup on FP4 R55
Hi,
I've sent this before but for some reason it didn't show up, so don't
get mad at me for double posting...
On FP4 R55 installed on SecurePlatform, the backup command doesn't have
the argument it had in prior versions. The argument you used to tell it
to backup all, or system or cp. You can only specify a name for the
backup file, and where to back it up to (scp, tftp or local).
Does this mean that it backs up everything? Or only one of the prior
options? How do I tell?
I've also noticed that there's a backup_start application, that has the
same syntax as the old backup command.
Is it safe to use? Does it require doing cpstop before and cpstart
afterwards?
I really need your help, cause I want to backup my checkpoint fw in the
best way.
Thanks.
