Hi John,

That is the way to do it, just configure Auto-Logon, enter in the details it
requires, and save.

You will need to restart the Computer to make them active mind.

Cheers.

Hi All,
I have received no responses to this email yet, so I guess no one has had
experience with this, but could someone just reply to this email so that I
know I am doing this whole email\mailing list thing right, as this is the
first time I'm participating in this Listserv.

Thanks,
John

  Subject: VPN-1 SecuRemote Auto-login.

  Hello,

On our Windows 2003 server I'm trying to setup my VPN-1 SecuRemote (Build
615) so that when I connect to my FTP site, if there is not already a VPN
established, it will automatically create one. I got it sort-of working; I
enabled and configured Auto Local Logon and enabled Auto-Connect, so now
when I try to connect FTP, instead of automatically establishing a VPN, the
"Check Point VPN-1 SecuRemote Connection" window appears and I have to click
"Connect". Of course, this will be a bit of a problem when no one's around
to click "Connect". Is there a way to get this truly automated? I've
included the documentation here for Auto Local Logon and Auto-Connect, and
the former suggests that this is possible, but I can't seem to figure it
out.

Also, FYI, with build 132 I have had no problems, but this version does
not seem to want to be installed on our Windows 2003 server.

  Thanks,
  John

  Auto-Connect

Auto-connect prompts you to connect to a site whenever you try to access a
site. When disabled, you must explicitly connect to a site before accessing
the resources on that site.

  Auto Local Logon

If you use a user name and password to log in to the VPN site (as opposed
to certificates), this process can be automated. The auto local logon
feature saves your user name and password. If you are in auto connect mode
you no longer need to participate in the logon process. Your password for
the VPN site is encrypted using your password as a key. When
SecuRemote/SecureClient detects certain traffic should be encrypted (that
is, traffic whose destination is the VPN site) SecuRemote/SecureClient
retrieves your username and password from the registry and logs into the
site. This is useful or an Unattended SecuRemote/SecureClient machine that
serves many end users in the manner of a terminal.
