I do not believe GVRP is supported on Cisco switches but is supported on
Nortel and Enterasys switches. Cisco uses VTP to accomplish the same
function which is to distribute VLAN information between switches for VLAN
membership.

Yes, I know what you are taking about, we use cisco on some sites as a
DHCP
server, and implement seperate vlan ips so we can use ip helper for each
vlan on the switch to forward to the router for DHCP. However, I want a
single constant vlan management number accross the LANs.
