Hi, what kind of license do you have (local/central)? Basically, I would recommend to license your SmartCenter Server's IP address (i.e. central). It seems to me, this is an issue with your situation here. If this is the case I would move your license's IP address from the old one to the new IP address first. Then I would move on to the installation part.
But you can use the upgrade_export / upgrade_import tools anyway. This is always a good idea if you want to move or upgrade (or backup your config including your licenses) your firewalls (modules, SmartCenter Server). I don't remember the full path (the installation directory of your firewall) but you can start a search for "upgrade_export". The path should contain ../bin/upgrade_tools/upgrade_export.exe. After installation and using "upgrade_import" install the lisense containing the changed IP address. Finally, a "fwstop;fwstart" on your SmartCenter Server should activate the new lisense. I must move the SCS in an other Physical location, then I have to change the IP addr. Your procedure is still usable? Bye PS: Logs are not so important, I can take them into a USB/DVD-R and archive it.
