It appears that you can configure log file retention in
/etc/cpshell/log_rotation.conf. Increase "backlog" to save more log
files, perhaps.

As for NTP, there is no NTP daemon, instead cpd runs ntpdate at
configurable intervals. You can run "cpd_sched_config print" to show
how this is configured. If you reconfigure the "NtpPoll" task, and
leave off the "-s" option to ntpdate, this should prevent logging to
syslog. You could instead redirect standard output to whatever file you
like.

Note: I'm using SecurePlatform R65 as a reference.

Subject: [FW-1] Generations of the messages files on SPLAT

Hi,

Is it possible to configure the number of generations you want the
/var/log/messages files on SPLAT?

Now it only rotates in 5 generations.

And I also want to know if there is a way to stop the NTP on SPLAT from
logging in messages.

Regards,
Torkel
