Hello Harald, I had the same issue with a dead harddrive in one of our IP120´s.
I took the new harddrive together with an working one from another IP120 in a PC running FreeBSB and copied the bootsector with dd. After reassambling the IP120 they booted and I was able to make a fresh installation with "install" during the bootprocess. If you dont have any other Nokia IP you will need the bootimage from Nokia. Its not a big deal to recover the IP.
