sysconfig takes you into the CP install, after a few OS config's by
following the "next" option you should come to a point where it installs
CP and gives you these options. Running cpconfig for the first time on
splat is the same as running sysconfig.

The first time you run cpconfig on a Nokia you have the options there to
specify SCS, FW module etc... I have always added the CP packages by
running newpkg -i followed by a reboot then a cpconfig. cpconfig is used
for configuring CP and it is also used for choosing the modules you want
installed...the first time you run it on a Nokia.

Thx for replying.

I ran sysconfig and there is no option to choose either management or
enforcement.
cpconfig is for configuring the CheckPoint.

In Nokia, when you install CP, it gives U option to install in
distributed env or local installation. (Distributed env, U can choose to
install Menegament or Enforcement module). Local installation, U install
all module on local server.

  My management server is Provider-1.
So how do I install SPLAT so that I can manage it via Provider-1.

  Thx again guys for replying.

  Cheers,

  Bill

Hi Guru,

tried to install SPLAT R61 on VMware before deplyoing it.
When installed, I did not see the options, for selecting for enforcement
module or smartserver etc...
Am I got a wrong disc?

Plz advice.

Bill
