About your old licenses, if you pay to get maintenance up to date, you will remain with the same ones and the same features. Those licenses will be supported in versions designed for the new licensing and features (R61, R62 and R65), but the new features will just not work.
If you want those features, you will have to ask for a "functionality upgrade", which is basically a way in which Check Point gives you some kind of discount to take your old licenses and give you new ones that include the new features. The old products are, at some level, equivalent to the new ones in the following matter: Express ---> UTM Pro/Enterprise ---> Power Basically UTM has the same features Express used to have plus AV and Web Filtering (which require to pay annual subscription fees). Something else that changed is that in Express there used to be licenses for gateways limited to 50, 100, 250 and 500 users, which remains in UTM, but now there is also an unlimited UTM license. A similar situation happened with the change from Pro to Power, they just added a few extra features. About that SecuRemote license you have, it will not be required under the new licensing scheme and versions, as now the gateways allow SR connections by default. Finally about that inflated value you got, I agree with Reinhard, you should talk to a partner about the real costs of getting up to date.
