I have a bit of a problem with this. Because you combine layer 2
multicast behaviour with layer 3 info like the TTL.

Those two do not add up in this way.

The obvious thing to do here is to use tcpdump and measure this. One
needs to get both IP and ethernet details. And no obscuring of the
addresses as that is vital information.

For all we know this x.x.x.x might in fact be a broadcast IP adres.
