Making one's inbox nice and tidy is not really the big issue, it's more a matter of how the archives get stored. Messages in the same thread will get archived together for people searching for solutions. If you add a message about Problem B to a thread about Problem A, people searching for help on Problem A will end up reading unrelated Problem B messages, and vice versa. We help create the information that fills the internet. We can either create the information with some forethought about how it will be found and used later, or with no thought at all.
