There is a CP sk on the error 'the converter failed to convert the policy" which recognize log file corruption as one of the reasons and suggest cleaning $FWDIR/log dir. Do a 'cpstop', either delete or move the contents off $FWDIR/log, 'cpstart'. This should have done right after you got the error before losing Security and NAT tabs but try them any case even now.
