Hi, Just to enquire on a Checkpoint feature. While reading up info on the Checkpoint Firewall, I noticed that it comes with something called "Application Layer Inspection" which means for example to control web access, instead of just relying on allowing port 80 traffic to pass through, the Checkpoint will also filter at the application layer and make sure that the necessary headers like HTTP GET and so on are sent.
Is this unique to Checkpoint Firewalls or do others like Netscreen, Cisco PIX, Cisco IOS Firewall, etc come with such a feature as well?
