You can see the licensed hosts (i.e. the hosts that are behind the firewall) on a Nokia box by using the command fwlichosts and I believe that it is the same command for Solaris.
There are 2 files that store this information. They are $FWDIR/database/fwd.h and $FWDIR/database/fwd.hosts. In order to clear the internal hosts count you need to issue a cpstop (fwstop for version 4.1), then delete the 2 files and run cpstart See www.phoneboy.com for more info -----Original Message----- From: Johan Beckers [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 16 December 2002 08:52 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [FW-1] ip-addresses that connect to FW1 Hi All ... Ou're security officer has left the building, and i'm replacing him, without ever taking a close look to this Fire-Wall. First thing i came accross: it seems that the Fire-Wall is keeping a file somewhere with all the ip-addresses that connect to this box? If so, where can i find this file, and what is it's name? where are running FW-1 on a unix machine. second: What are good places on the web to look for information, technotes etc. on FW-1, i'm subscribed to a course, but this starts next year. In the mean while, i would like to do some self studing. Thanks in advance, sincerly, Johan. ================================================= To set vacation, Out Of Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================================= ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star Internet.
