the first in my rulebase, stating that traffic destined for the 'broadcast'
object should be dropped, no log.
Works fine.

255.255.255.255 or 10.255.255.255, and then created a rule that says
anything destined for that object, drop with no log.
Seems to have worked for me, ymmv.
