I am running FW-1 Ver 4.0 on Solaris version 2.6. I will be creating a VPN to some Nokia IP330's running FW-1 version 4.1. I understand that I need to upgrade the management console to version 4.1 to manage the IP330's. Questions: 1. What is involved in moving the management console to a separate system? What are the pros and cons? 2. Any advice on sizing a solaris system for the mgmt console compared to the sparc running the firewall module? 3. Any problems having a VPN between a Ver 4.0 firewall/encryption module on Soloris and the Nokia/IP330's running ver 4.1?
