I think the subnet mask should 248.0.0.0

The address 240.0.0.0/5 means that the first 5 bits of the address are set
to ones.
EX:  11111000.00000000.00000000.0000000.  That is the network portion of the
address.  The remaining 27 bits are used for the host portion of the
address.
The subnet mask for the following network would be 255.0.0.0
