        A clarification: for the first hole you state that

         amstelveen < Amsterdam < Amsterdam5 < Amsterdam40 < Amsterdamned
                  

         do you really mean that you want lowercases to be smaller than
the uppercases? I.e., 'A' gt 'a'?
