Yep. I have the same setup (Pismo and Palm Vx). My office gave me the Vx a
few weeks ago and I went out and spent the extra cash on the Palm Connect
Kit the same day. Fortunately for me, the IR solution hit me before I even
opened the kit. After my first IR sync, which went smooth as silk, I
promptly took the Palm Connect Kit back to the store for a refund.

The whole process with syncing couldn't have been easier, and as an added
bonus -- I was already using the latest version of Palm Desktop, so I didn't
even have to install any software... and all my contacts and other data were
installed right onto my Palm.
