On their site Apple has a troubleshooting document related to this: # 60805. Try going
into the Extensions Manager and disabling USB AUTHORING SUPPORT and FIREWIRE AUTHORING
SUPPORT and then reboot. This did it for me when the same thing happened to my QUE.
