In on the iMac (the one without the ip address) open the tcp/ip control
panel, click "options" and uncheck the "Load only when needed" box. This
should fix ya up! You can do this with the other mac as well if you have
this problem.

If you are using a crossover cable or a hub. It is good to keep this
unchecked.
