To reduce confusion, it's better to refer to PowerBooks by their official designation. Yours would be the PowerBook G4 (Gigabit); other than the addition of a combo drive, your Powerbook is exactly identical to the PowerBook G4 (Gigabit) that preceded it. The only reason i mention this is that there are several schemes for naming these PowerBooks, a couple of which are contradictory (some call yours a Rev 3, whereas others state the Rev 3 is the current generation PowerBook G4 (DVI)). In your case, the addition of the Combo Drive adds no pertinent information as to your issue, so calling it a PB G4 (Gigabit) names your powerbook precisely. Calling your powerbook by it's proper name will also make it easier to search Apple's KBase and Discussion Boards and get meaningful results. > This really ticks me off because this is my only (competent, usable) > computer.
