I am going ahead with a 4 partition format. 4GB for OS 10.2, 2.5GB for OS 9.2, 6GB for applications, and 6.5GB for documents. I intend to get a kit that will allow me to install the original 8GB HD in a standard 3.5 inch bay and get an external box to put it in. I'd like to use a box with a SCSI interface, but the drive is ATA. Would using a box with a FireWire interface be better? I don't know what kind of interface these boxes have inside for drives to connect to. Any suggestions? Thanks for the pointers on format setup!!! For the record, the 2 6GB partitions were X'ed out as options to install OS 10 to and they were listed first as options in the installer menu. Apparently OS 10.2 likes something 4GB or smaller. This and the 2.5GB partition were the first in the custom setup window under OS 9.1 Drive Setup.
