We are having a problem with my daughters Powerbook G3. Purchased
new on 6-25-99
Her computer runs extremely slow, Office 98 and all that goes with
that software.
Sometmes it takes literaly 10 to 15 minutes to print a simple 1 page
letter from Word 98.
We have defraged the hardrive, rebuilt the desk top, and installed a
total of 192 MB RAM. She uses an HP 935c printer that was new. We
have tried reinstalling the software, but still is really slow.
According to the lowendmac site we can install up to 384 MN RAM,
when we had the ram installed for us we were told it was maxed at
192. So this is why I wonder about what machine we really have.
Would appreciate some simple help here.

I understand that their is a number of models of this computer.
Here are the numbers on what we ordered from Apple.

PBG3 14.1T/333/64/4G/CD/E/56K
Serial No. QT92818XEXW

I believe that this is called the Lombard. According to a printout
off the Lowendmac. site.

Can anyone tell from the numbers above if this is a true Lombard Model?

Thank You
Bob Johnson
