Here's what I think.  No one ver called it "system 4."  Here were the early
versions of the Mac OS:

System 1.0 
System 2.0 
System 3.0 
System Tools 4.0 (System 3.2, Finder 5.3)
System Tools 5.0 (System 4.2, Finder 6.0)
System 6 
System 6.0 (Finder 6.1)
System 6.0.5 
System 6.0.7
System 6.0.8 
System 7

Kind of odd huh?
