I personally am a little disappointed in the 12" (while I lust constantly over the 17")
The more I look at it, the more I think apple could have done better on the 12", I can understand the lack of the pc card slot, but no lit keyboard? no firewire 800? and the big ones: no L3, no 1GB memory? This 'book has to have been based off the iBook more than in just terms of casing, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that there was a very limited amount of dev time devoted to the 12", more of just a "here, make this iBook look like a PB" Aside from my gripes, I still think it's a pretty neat looking 'book, just doesn't have what I need.
