If you have to re-install - and you expect to be using OS 9 for a while - 
there's a piece of software you might want to procure.  Conflict Catcher 
is an excellent extension manager, and - as a huge bonus - does a great 
job of merging all your extensions into a new System Folder after a 
re-install.
