Anyone care to share experiences with screen replacement on the Pismo?

This link was posted (http://www.go2mac.com/story.lasso?newsID=8920)
mentioning the successful use of a unspecified Panasonic LCD that may
be better than the original unit - in terms of viewing angle. Am
aware that Samsung and LG units will work. Any feedback on model
numbers and/or tech info that would ensure successful identification
on e-bay would be appreciated. Have looked at pbparts and wegener.

Also have noted some traffic regarding making an expansion bay
CDRW/DVD out of the original CDROM/DVD expansion bay unit. Any
recommendations in terms of functionality (bootability, reliability,
OSX/9?) and final appearance/fit of the unit? Panasonic UDJA710 is
mentioned in the above screen link. Any others?

F.
