See if this works for your machine. Gently push the cradle closed (one finger does it), rather than with any force, just enough to seat it with a easy click. I had this problem for a long time before I figured out what was required. On a similar note. A number of times I asked this group what to do about resolution changing when the iTunes visual pulldown menu was used directly after a Net connection--in vain. The magnification would go to the largest possibility and I'd have to restart in order to function again. I've found that clicking on a Word document first, before iTunes and after the Net connection, solves the problem. Another Question. I downloaded Netscape 7 to replace 4.2, and all of my Web documents from the earlier edition are now empty! I would have thought that the later edition would have included the former capabilities.
