Apple is in denial over this. When I called them, they denied that there was _any_ issue with the LG drive, and took exception to my mentioning of it. When I mentioned that I knew I had an LG drive, the fellow on the phone got nervous, and then very short with me. I wasn't at all rude or demanding, and was quite polite, in fact, despite his treatment of me. No, Apple knows about it, of this I am sure. They cannot be ignorant of it, and the behavior of the telephone rep was pretty indicting, in my opinion. Actually, the impression I got was that the man knew about it, but was forbidden to say anything, under pain of firing. In short, Apple has procedures in place to turn customers with complaints away.
