PLENTY of people have had problems with them. I lost $4,500 a couple of years ago when they froze my account for "suspicious" activity. They refused to tell me what this activity was! After jumping through many flaming hoops with them and finally having my lawyer fire off a nasty letter to them, they wrote me via USPS saying that I can no longer use PayPal's services, and that my account has been closed. And of course, my money had mysteriously disappeared. I've been fighting these bastards for the past 2 years to no avail. Because they aren't regulated like other financial services, they can get away with picking the occasional account and fleecing the balance from it, then act like they had nothing to do with it. I'm now considering a six figure lawsuit against them. Just because it hasn't happened to you or "someone you know" doesn't mean it has never happened. There are plenty of stories like mine, some MUCH worse (such as the guy whose $60,000 balance suddenly disappeared into thin air when some jerk he did business with decided that the $10 CD he bought sucked and reported it as fraud to Paypal.$60,000!!!!!!!!). Paypal uses chargeback attempts as an excuse to RIP YOU OFF. ANd I've got plently of emails from other victims (a lot of them business owners like myself) as evidence. Tread lightly...
