I ran 10.1.2 to 10.2.5 on 233MHz with RAM from 192 - 384 MB and a 20GB HD. It is reasonable to work with unless you are planning to do high-end graphic or video editing.
I have since upgraded to Sonnet G4/500 and 512MB RAM which improves performance a lot. Btw, I bought the first 256MB from someone on eBay and the second one I harvested from my fiancé's TiBook 667 when he upgraded to 1GB. If you are looking to buy RAM, check OWC <http://eshop.macsales.com/> Kay -- http://mac-x-files.blogspot.com/ > De : G-Books <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date : Thu, 03 Jul 2003 11:46:44 -0400 > À : G-Books <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Objet : G-Books Digest #1300 > > From: "Laurence TeknoLiber" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Wallstreet memory > 192MB ? > Date: Thu, 03 Jul 2003 18:29:00 +0200 > Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >> From: Byron Gardner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >> I recommend loading up with as much as you can afford. >> Especially if you are running OS X. > > I haven't run OS X on it yet, but I may end up doing so... > > How well do you think OS X will run on a 266MHz WS with > 512MB (2x256MB) run in your opinion. > > Is it worthwhile or will it eat up too much of the performance > from other apps ? > > > Laurence -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
