Now i have to find out how to show my old firewire HD on the desktop. Do i
have to use jumpers?

Most firewire cases want to have the hard drive jumpered as master in order to work properly with the firewire bridgeboard. There should be a jumper on the drive, and a set of pins labeled either M and S, or M, S, and C depending on the drive. Place the jumper on the pair labeled M (for Master) and the drive should be ready to go with the case.
