Do I need to shut down before taking the powerbook to work, (car commute) or is it good enough to sleep and spin down the hard drive?
The only time I shut mine down is if I'm not going to be using it for a few days (which doesn't happen very often :-)). Otherwise I just put it to sleep, put it in my shoulder bag, and go.
