Hi Wallstreet users: I've been pleased as punch with my wallstreet -- until recently. I had it about a year; added a super fast 60 gb hard drive, 512 mb RAM, was running OS 10.2.6 successfully (albeit a bit slow) and then...
Then, one day it woke up and decided to function only occasionally. I started getting the "flashing floppy with the question mark in the center" instead of the happy mac (or the white apple of OS 10)... I've tried reinstalling OS 10, deleting OS 10, lots of things, like formatting and partitioning the hard drive again. But despite all my best efforts, the unit continues to have difficulty. I've done away with OS 10 completely. Running OS 9.2.2 (or 9.1 on the other partition) and am running extensions I know are compatible on my other mac units. Yet the computer continues to have intermittent freeze ups-- well not really intermittent-- I can count on at least once a day. I've gone back to using my pb 1400; but I'd like to use the wallstreet again someday, due to bigger screen, and especially, enough RAM to run photoshop. If anyone has experienced similar wallstreet woes, and has an answer, I'm all ears. Of if this situation "sounds familiar" maybe you have a suggestion.
