If you are connected power it isn't quite so important but you certainly want the display to dim and hard drive to spin down when not in use. No reason to have the machine generating heat when it is sitting unused. > > 2. Further, many of us find that when we are sitting at a desk or take that using a mouse and keyboard is more comfortable than using the trackpad. So don't disable it.
