My Mac guru advises that it is wise not to keep a PB plugged in all the time
but instead let the battery run down fully at least every few weeks, that
doing so will actually enhance the life span of the battery. He seems to be
correct, as with every PB I have owned I have had spare batteries for the
other bay which get little use and they always die long before the main
battery which I let wear down periodically.

Hi folks,
For what it's worth, I too recently purchased a NewerTech 6600mAh battery for my Pismo from Other World Computing. I haven't had it long enough to check the actual working time on a charge, but the "Battery Status Indicator" shows 4:06 at 99% capacity (it showed 4:57 at 100% capacity when I first unplugged the power adapter and seems to be all over the place, especially after a short period of inactivity or a sleep period.) It will be a while before I know how accurate this is because I use the 'Book plugged in most of the time. If I get a good read of the time sooner, I'll post with the current subject.
