what exactly is a DVD + ?

As I understand, it is the format for burning to DVD's. I was told by Apple that the Powerbooks and other Macs with Superdrives can only burn to DVD - vs DVD +.
then we would be talking about a DVD+R or DVD+RW. merely saying "DVD+" is nowhere near sufficient. doesn't even specify that we're even talking about writable or rewritable media.

Well the guy was talking about DVD- and burning DVD's so it's pretty easy to assume what was being discussed or talked about, right ?
