Yes, Craig. The service manual clearly states which
boards go with which CPUs. Hope you didn't pay too
much. 
I am having all sorts of trouble getting Ram for my WS
300 MHz (perhaps a signal to forego OS X).  
And this AM, my desktop refuses to work at all (8500
with NewerTech G3 300). Blue Monday!
