Okay, I'm stumped. I've got an just-obtained iBook 700 (OS X -- 10.1.3) with
built-in Airport card. I'm having no success connecting it to my local
network, which the Airport card "sees" as an Airport Network. I select my
local Wi-Fi network name and put in the 10-character WEP password. After a
pause, the iBook says I've entered the wrong password. Searches through the
built-in Help menu offer no clues.

I've got a hybrid ethernet/wireless access point network. The Wi-Fi is
802.11b, fed by a Netgear Wireless Access Point, running on Channel 8.

It was very easy to connect a PB1400 with Skyline Proxim 802.11b card and a
Compaq with Microsoft 802.11b card, as well as a couple of PCs elsewhere in
the house, to the Wi-Fi side of my network. But I have no idea why the iBook
Airport won't hook up. I'm a newbie to Airport cards. What am I missing?

The iBook connects to the Internet through ethernet just fine, by the way.
But I'd like to use the Airport for portability.

Thanks for enlightening this iBook Airport neophyte.
